​We came onboard to renovate our clients main bathroom and laundry at the point where there were still many decisions to be made, and like all home owners, they wanted to get the layout and design ideas just right!

In the first instance, the floor plan was finalised by working together with our clients and using a process of elimination. Many aspects where considered, including;

Visibility from outside the home
​The bathroom fixtures were carefully positioned for optimal privacy and frosted louvre windows installed, allowing family members and guests to use the bathroom comfortably.

Bath or no bath?
Careful consideration was given to the value of having wide open space or in comparison, a bath available for family members to use, as well as resale advantages.

Combining the WC with the main bathroom
There was some hesitation around removing the dividing wall between the toilet and bathroom, for fear that the bathroom would be less functional, however our clients are very happy with the decision to create one main bathroom that includes the toilet.

Exclusion of glass shower screen
No glass to clean is a nice thought! And the addition of the shower wall gave more wall space for prime positioning of the vanity and shave cabinet.

Our client has a very keen eye for design and she was inspired by that resort feel and style. The large seamless wall and floor tiles, wall to wall niche, louvre windows, ambient lighting and timber accents all exude luxury!
